Power and Free conveyors are a versatile solution for transporting parts within an assembly line from one process to another. These conveyors enable individual loads to stop without affecting the entire production line, unlike traditional overhead monorail conveyors. They offer flexible routing, adjustable speeds, the ability to accumulate or stop carriers, sort products, utilize overhead space, provide precision for automation, and are easily adaptable to product changes. Consisting of two tracks, the power track is the upper track, powered by a chain, while the free track supports carrier trolleys. The system's driving mechanism is the power chain, featuring forged and heat-treated side links, centre links, and chain pins. Special side link pushers push the power and free carrier at certain points on the chain. Pusher dogs, connected to the power chain in the upper track, transmit the drive power to the free trolley.
